Chacun donc de tout le peuple coupa une branche, et ils suivirent Abimélec, et mirent [ces branches] tout autour du fort, et y ayant mis le feu, ils brûlèrent le fort. Et toutes les personnes de la Tour de Sichem moururent, au nombre d'environ mille, tant hommes que femmes.
